6,849 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 6,849 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,168,728 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of 213 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 36,048.

The number of recovered patients rose to 948,385, while the number of active cases stands at 184,295.

Some 7,206 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 607 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,166,840, of whom 5,874,429 have already received their second vaccination. About 2.824 million people have already received their third vaccination.
