501 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 501 new coronavirus cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 819,021, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of two patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 30,143.

The number of recovered patients rose to 781,138, while the number of active cases stands at 7,740.

Some 406 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 46 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 5,865,865, of whom 5,591,911 have already received their second vaccination. About 646,000 people have already received their third vaccination.
