5,865 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

A total of 5,865 new COVID infections were registered in Hungary in the last three days, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,262,280, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 248 COVID-infected people died between Friday and Monday, bringing the total number of deaths to 39,434.

The number of recovered persons is increasing, currently standing at 1,121,823, and the number of active infections has decreased to 101,023.

A total of 3,313 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 318 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,266,483, of whom 5,982,104 have already had their second vaccination and 3,178,228 have already had their booster jabs.
