465 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 82,075, with 465 new cases and 27 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll has increased to 29,709.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 804,032 up from 803,567 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 692,248.

Currently, 1,024 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 114 of whom are on ventilators.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 143,522. Pest County is the second most affected, with 111,406 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (46,219 cases).

So far 5,801,554 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 10,302 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine. 

According to the website, a total of 5,120,109 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 3,539,868.
