416 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 103,749, with 416 new cases and 44 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll has increased to 29,519.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 802,088 up from 801,672 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 668,820.

Currently, 1,399 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 185 of whom are on ventilators.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 143,276. Pest County is the second most affected, with 111,156 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (46,023 cases).

So far 5,734,447 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 14,220 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine. 

According to the website, a total of 5,005,682 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 3,000,989.

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 69,422.
