4,668 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 86,488, with 4,668 new cases and 123 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site

The death toll stands at 14,795.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 419,182 up from 414,514 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 317,899.

Currently, 5,027 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 451 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,604,898 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 35,303 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 78,485. Pest County is the second most affected, with 53,497 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (23,946 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 42,831.

Until now, 521,283 people have been vaccinated, and 240,622 of them have already received the second dose as well.
