4,469 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 92,497, with 4,469 new cases and 72 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 14,974.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 428,599 up from 424,130 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 321,128.

Currently, 5,482 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 524 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,660,342 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 33,353 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 80,316. Pest County is the second most affected, with 55,029 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (24,618 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 44,017.

Until now, 677,682 people have been vaccinated, and 249,499 of them have already received the second dose as well.
