396 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 91,164, with 396 new cases and 32 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll has increased to 29,654.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 803,119 up from 802,723 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 682,301.

Currently, 1,215 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 136 of whom are on ventilators.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 143,408. Pest County is the second most affected, with 111,296 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (46,120 cases).

So far 5,771,058 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 11,432 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine. 

According to the website, a total of 5,056,262 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 3,328,047.
