345 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

Some 345 new coronavirus cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 814,409, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Three patients died, raising the total coronavirus death toll to 30,080.

The number of recovered patients rose to 778,531, while the number of active cases stands at 5,798.

Some 215 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 26 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 5,830,217, of whom 5,535,463 have already received their second vaccination. About 461,000 people have already received their third vaccination.

The delta virus mutant is spreading in several European countries and is already present in Hungary, and unvaccinated people are at greatest risk, the website notes.
