3,575 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 3,575 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,202,514 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of 195 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 37,079.

The number of recovered patients rose to 996,517, while the number of active cases stands at 168,918.

Some 6,507 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 563 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,192,253, of whom 5,900,371 have already received their second vaccination. Some 3.014 million people have already received their third vaccination.
