3,193 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 3,193 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,762,878, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 131 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 43,430.

The number of recovered persons has reached 1,535,456, and the number of active infections now stands at 183,992.

A total of 4,740 patients infected with coronavirus are hospitalized, 177 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,389,711, of whom 6,158,184 have already had their second vaccination and 3,792,988 have already had their booster jabs.
