21,219 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

A total of 21,219 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary between January 14-16, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,348,233, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
Some 270 people died between Friday and Sunday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 40,507.
The number of recovered persons has reached 1,169,775, and the number of active infections now stands at 137,951.
A total of 2,630 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 228 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,319,434, of whom 6,059,382 have already had their second vaccination and 3,417,089 have already had their booster jabs.
