21,081 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

Some 21,081 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary between February 11-13, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,717,072, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 271 people died between Friday and Sunday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 42,631.

The number of recovered persons has reached 1,450,631, and the number of active infections now stands at 223,810.

A total of 5,186 patients infected with coronavirus are hospitalized, 199 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,383,007, of whom 6,140,331 have already had their second vaccination and 3,769,557 have already had their booster jabs.
