2,912 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 82,103, with 2,912 new cases and 47 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 14,299.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 403,023 up from 400,111 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 306,621.

Currently, 4,233 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 366 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,503,611 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 27,179 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 75,003. Pest County is the second most affected, with 50,629 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (22,994 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 40,722.

Until now, 445,535 people have been vaccinated, and 190,705 of them have already received the second dose as well.
