2,855 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 82,127, with 2,855 new cases and 102 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 14,552.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 410,129 up from 407,274 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 313,450.

Currently, 4,353 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 407 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,552,261 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 27,737 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 76,742. Pest County is the second most affected, with 52,032 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (23,296 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 42,064.

Until now, 471,004 people have been vaccinated, and 208,846 of them have already received the second dose as well.
