2,764 coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 96,299, with 2,764 new cases and 130 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 15,188.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 435,689 up from 432,925 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 324,202.

Currently, 6,071 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 581 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,693,390 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 35,023 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 82,044. Pest County is the second most affected, with 56,346 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (24,903 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 44,840.

Until now, 721,677 people have been vaccinated, and 252,847 of them have already received the second dose as well.
