2,651 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 2,651 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,836,919, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 35 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 45,220.

The number of recovered persons has reached 1,689,460, and the number of active infections now stands at 102,239.

A total of 1,971 patients infected with coronavirus are hospitalized, 71 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,400,875, of whom 6,184,076 have already had their second vaccination and 3,836,209 have already had their booster jabs.
