17,894 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

A total of 17,894 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,600,411, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
Some 88 people died yesterday due to COVID-related causes, bringing the total number of deaths to 41,636.
The number of recovered persons has reached 1,330,876, and the number of active infections now stands at 227,899.
A total of 4,451 patients infected with coronavirus are hospitalized, 163 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,366,402, of whom 6,107,843 have already had their second vaccination and 3,700,305 have already had their booster jabs.
