11,132 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 176,129, with 11,132 new cases and 227 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 18,068.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 560,971 up from 549,835 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 366,774.

Currently, 10,583 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,237 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 4,242,762 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 52,885 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 106,547. Pest County is the second most affected, with 77,276 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (32,355 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 52,302.

Until now, 1,520,350 people have been vaccinated, and 465,643 of them have already received the second dose as well.
