10,466 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 10,466 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,124,726 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of 218 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 34,931.

The number of recovered patients rose to 902,000, while the number of active cases stands at 187,795.

Some 7,450 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 550 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,138,885, of whom 5,852,417 have already received their second vaccination. About 2.609 million people have already received their third vaccination.
