10,167 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary
The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 211,028, with 10,167 new cases and 253 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll stands at 19,752.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 624,779 up from 614,612 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 393,999.
Currently, 11,779 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,512 of whom are on ventilators.
So far 4,486,163 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 61,430 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 118,215. Pest County is the second most affected, with 87,512 cases, followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron County (35,783 cases).
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 55,074.
Until now, 1,870,631 people have been vaccinated, and 667,303 of them have already received the second dose as well.
