1,985 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 1,985 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,230,385 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of 132 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 38,028.

The number of recovered patients rose to 1,054,288, while the number of active cases stands at 138,069.

Some 5,527 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 501 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,232,575, of whom 5,945,349 have already received their second vaccination. Approximately 3.114 million people have already received their third vaccination.
