1,370 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 83,642, with 1,370 new cases and 64 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 13,090.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 376,495 up from 375,125 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 279,763.

Currently, 3,578 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 291 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,265,862 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 19,510 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 69,865. Pest County is the second most affected, with 46,863 cases, followed by Hajdú-Bihar County (21,268 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 35,065.

Until now, 286,389 people have been vaccinated, and 105,242 of them have already received the second dose as well.
