1,370 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 94,261, with 1,370 new cases and 89 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 12,463.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 366,279 up from 364,909 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 259,555.

Currently, 3,582 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 264 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,138,146 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 20,147 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 67,988. Pest County is the second most affected, with 45,489 cases, followed by Hajdú-Bihar County (20,754 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 31,245.

Until now, 198,283 people have been vaccinated, and 49,606 of them have already received the second dose as well.
