1,124 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 91,872, with 1,124 new cases and 54 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 12,578.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 368,710 up from 367,586 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 264,260.

Currently, 3,682 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 273 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,169,150 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 13,810 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 68,430. Pest County is the second most affected, with 45,830 cases, followed by Hajdú-Bihar County (20,858 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 32,052.

Until now, 237,872 people have been vaccinated, and 61,266 of them have already received the second dose as well.
