1,004 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 103,087, with 1,004 new cases and 85 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 12,198.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 361,881 up from 360,877 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 246,596.

Currently, 3,809 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 255 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,084,716 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 17,834 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 67,306. Pest County is the second most affected, with 44,983 cases, followed by Hajdú-Bihar County (20,477 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 30,202.

Until now, 152,704 people have been vaccinated, and 17,772 of them have already received the second dose as well.
