Trade deficit €842 mln in January-April

Hungary's trade deficit in January-April 2006 was €842.1 million compared to €931.8 million in the same period of 2005, preliminary figures of the Central Statistics Office (KSH) released on Friday show.

Trade deficit was €187.6 million in April, €231 million less than in the same month a year earlier.
Exports were €4.329 billion in April, up 6.4% from the same month a year earlier. Four-month exports rose 15.5% year-on-year to €17.629 billion.
Imports were €4.516 billion in April, up 0.7% year-on-year, and imports in January-April rose 14.1% year-on-year to €18.471 billion.
