Trade deficit €110.6 mln in June

Hungary's trade deficit was €110.6 million in June, revised down €10.2 million from a preliminary €120.8 million deficit published on August 9, and up €44 million from a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Friday in a second reading of the figures.

The January-June trade deficit came to €1.096 billion, €3 million less than the preliminary figure, and €33.5 million less than in same period in 2005.
In euro terms, June exports rose 10% from a year earlier to €4.912 billion and January-June exports increased 16.1% year-on-year to €27.746 billion. Euro-term imports were up 10.8% year-on-year in June alone at €5.023 billion and rose 15.2% from a year earlier in January-June to €28.842 billion.
In volume terms, June exports were up 9.1% and June imports rose 7.7% from a year earlier. Six-month export volume rose 15.6% year-on-year and import volumes increased 12%.
