Slovenia Consumer Morale Slightly Improves in February

Slovenia's consumer confidence indicator grew by 1 percentage point in February, after declining by 4 pp in the preceding month, the Ljubljana-based Statistics Bureau of Slovenia (SURS) said on Tuesday.
Consumer confidence rose marginally to -34 in February from -35 in the prior month.
The increase in the value was mainly due to the improvement in the expectations for the country's economy (-37 vs -42 in January). Also, concerns eased over the evolution of prices (40 vs 46) and unemployment (24 vs 29).
On an annual basis, expectations about the country's economy fell by 16 percentage points, estimates about current households' finances went down by 14 percentage points, about households' finances, they declined by 13 percentage points, and expectations for major purchases went down by 8 pp.
