Romania Business Sentiment Positive in Most Sectors in June

Company managers active in Romania's construction, retail, and services sectors expect their business to grow in the next three months, while a relative stability is forecast in manufacturing, a monthly survey from the Bucharest-based Institute of Statistics (INS) on Friday shows.

Managers of construction companies foresee an acceleration of their economic activity in the next three months.

The construction sector anticipates moderate growth in the number of employees. The manufacturing industry expects relative stability of its production volumes. Regarding the number of employees, stability is also expected, while prices of industrial products are expected to grow moderately.

Retail companies expect growth of their economic activity over the next three months. Employers forecast growth in the number of employees, while managers expect that retail prices will rise strongly.

Demand for services is expected to register moderate growth and relative stability in the number of employees. According to the interviewed managers in the sector, prices in the services sector will moderately grow.

A total of 9,142 managers of Romania-based companies operating in construction, manufacturing, retail, and services were interviewed in the survey.
