Report: Tesco Mobile could halt services in Hungary
Tesco Mobile, a service provider created by retail chain giant Tesco and telco giant Vodafone, could cease to exist in Hungary, with current users being merged into the Hungarian operations of Vodafone, Hungarian daily Magyar Idők reported today, citing unnamed sources.
The paper said no subscriptions can be launched as of April 1, and as of April 5 until the services are taken over by Vodafone around April 16, no prepaid cards will be available for purchase. After the takeover is finalized, Vodafone will forward the relevant details to subscribers via SMS, the daily said.
Although some packages and tariffs will remain, there will be changes in fees and also in services on offer, Magyar Idők reported.
