PMI rises to 57 in June

Analysis

Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 57 points in June from 51.9 in May, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

A PMI over 50 signals expansion in the manufacturing sector.

Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose from the previous month and remained over 50.

The production volume index also rose and stayed over the 50-point mark.

The employment index fell but showed growth.

Delivery times were longer than in May.

The gauge of purchased inventories fell but was still over the 50-point mark.
