PMI remains over 50-point threshold for 3rd month in a row
Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) stood at 51.1 points in December, staying over the 50-point threshold that signals expansion in the manufacturing sector for the third month in row, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The new orders index rose in December from the previous month and remained over 50.
The production volume index also climbed and stayed over the 50-point mark.
The employment index showed a contraction after two months of expansion.
Delivery times were longer than in November.
Purchased inventories were down "moderately" after rising for two months in a row.
