PMI decreases to adjusted 54.2 in May

Hungary's seasonally adjusted Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) dropped to 54.2 in May from 55.8 in April, Halpim, the company which compiles the index, announced on Thursday.
The index value well exceeded the 52.7 average measured in May in the preceding three years. The unadjusted index was 56.8 in May, down from 57.7 in April.
A PMI over 50 reflects an expanding manufacturing sector and a PMI under 50 means the sector is contracting.
