OTP Bank meets EBA capital requirement

OTP Bank said late Wednesday that it met European Banking Authority (EBA) capital requirements in a recent "stress test".
OTP Bank said it met the 9% Core Tier 1 ratio, including the sovereign buffer, as stated in an EBA recommendation from December 2011.
The recommendation was adopted by the EBA board to address the difficult situation in the European Union banking system, especially with regard to the sovereign exposures, by restoring stability and confidence in the markets. The recommendation was part of a suite of measures agreed on at EU level.
