MKIK: Local business tax should be maintained

Analysis

The current system of local business tax should be maintained next year according to the proposal of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), and when there are no elections, the whole system of business tax should be reviewed according to the president of the organization, László Parragh, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

Parragh said if businesses have to pay less local taxes next year, they will have more money left to spend on rent, development and investment.

That is why the chamber also recommends that the government freeze other local taxes so that, for example, real estate taxes and tourism contributions cannot be raised, because entrepreneurial coffers are now quite thin.
