London analysts put December CPI at negative 0.4%

Hungary's consumer price index probably edged down by 0.4% year-on-year in December, according to the average estimate of London analysts polled by MTI's London correspondent.
Analysts at Barclays and Goldman Sachs put the drop as steep as 0.8%. Hungarian consumer prices fell 0.7% year-on-year in November, dropped 0.4% in October and were down 0.5% in September. The Central Statistics Office is expected to publish the December CPI today.
