Hungary's October trade deficit revised down to €190 mln

Hungary's trade deficit was €190 mln in October, €166 mln less than in the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported on Friday in a second reading of the figures.

The new figure is €17 million less than the preliminary one published on December 8. The revised figure brings the January-October trade deficit to €1,938 billion, €18 million less than the preliminary figure, and €589 million less than the deficit recorded in same period in 2005. In euro terms, October exports rose 20.4% year-on-year to €5.395 billion. Exports in January-October increased 15.9% year-on-year to €47.374 billion. Euro-term imports were up 15.4% year-on-year at €5.584 billion in October, and they rose 13.6% year-on-year to €49.312 billion in January-October. (Mti-Eco)
