Hungary: business optimism rules among the biggest

Ecostat TOP-100 index of business-activity rose to 103.4% in August, which meant a 3% rise compared to July’s results. The index of business activity measured 80.4 % last August.
Calculations therefore clearly show the positive trend of corporate expectations regarding business activities in Hungary. Only 8% of the TOP-100 corporations were expecting a cyclical-downswing in August. In the next six month 25% of corporate companies are anticipating the increase of their stock holdings while 70% of them predict that their stocks will remain steady, which signals a tendency of favorable marketing opportunities. Optimism among these large companies can be contributed to the achievements of the government’s convergence program and to encouraging perspectives in world economy. (Gazdasági Rádió)
