Hospitals to be reduced by over 1,500 beds

A total of 1,586 beds will be eliminated from Hungary's hospitals as part of an overall reform of the national health care system, Ágnes Horváth, state secretary of the Health Ministry announced on Monday.
Another 2,155 regular hospital beds will be re-allocated for chronic care, and 571 beds will be used in outpatient services, Horváth added.
