GKI lowers 2021 GDP growth forecast to 6.7%

Analysis

Economic research institute GKI has lowered its projection for this year's GDP growth to 6.7% from 7% in a forecast three months earlier, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Earlier in December, Finance Minister Mihaly Varga put this year's GDP growth at 6-6.5%.

Hungary's GDP growth slowed to 6.1% year-on-year in the third quarter, For the period Q1-Q3, GDP growth reached 7.1%.

KSH will release a first reading of Q4 GDP data on February 15.
