Gas Deliveries Through TurkStream Resume After Annual Maintenance

Analysis

Deliveries of Russian gas to Hungary through the TurkStream pipeline restarted early in the week after annual maintenance finished, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in Saint Petersburg on Thursday.

Deliveries through the TurkStream are back up to "normal volume", Szijjártó said in a statement issued by his ministry.

Hungary has enough gas in store to cover more than 37% of annual consumption, well over the European average of a little more than 21%, he added.

Szijjártó is in Saint Petersburg to participate at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum. He will meet there with Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev.
