Forint unchanged to EUR, firms to USD, CHF

The forint was trading at 310.68 to the euro at 5:30pm on Mondayʼs interbank forex market practically unchanged from 310.69 late on last Friday.

The forint strengthened against the euro throughout the day not counting a two hour period early afternoon when it temporarily lost some gains, to finish at the same level it was on Friday evening. The euro exchange rate moved between 311.81 forints and 310.00 forints.

The forint traded at 285.67 to the dollar, up from 287.17 late Friday. After a quiet morning the forint gradually strengthened against the dollar, with the dollar exchange rate falling as low as 284.56 forints from its 287.29 forint daily peak.

The forint was quoted at 279.98 to the Swiss franc compared to 280.59 earlier. The forint firmed against the franc in the morning. Afternoon trading was mixed with the forint twice losing ground, but then again strengthening both times. The franc exchange rate moved between 281.17 forints and 279.68 forints.
