Forint softens on interbank market
The forint was trading at 314.49 to the euro at 5.30pm on Tuesdayʼs interbank market, softening from 313.50 late on Friday. The forint lost ground against the euro during the whole of Tuesday.
The forint weakened to 281.05 from 280.75 against the dollar. The forint showed mixed but tight movement against the dollar on Tuesday. Trading was characterized by small loses following small gains but in the late afternoon the forint gave way.
The forint traded at 288.14 to the Swiss franc, down from 286.97. The Swiss franc peaked against the forint at 11am in the morning. The forint somewhat recovered in the next few hours but by late afternoon it was again softening compared to the franc.
