Forint little changed on interbank market

Analysis

The forint was little changed on Monday morning's interbank market, trading at 240.70 against the euro at 10:00 a.m., compared to a Friday-afternoon rate of 240.51.

The forint has been fluctuating in a broad range between 234 and 244 against the Swiss franc over the past week.

The forint was trading at 272.05 to the euro and 188.91 to the US dollar at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, compared to Friday-afternoon rates of 271.88 and 188.69, respectively.

Dealers say that shifts in global sentiment and the outlook with regard to the euro-zone debt crisis are likely to exercise the greatest impact on forint rates on Monday.
