Forint firms to EUR, CHF, softens to USD

Analysis

The forint was trading at 309.36 to the euro at 5:30pm on Mondayʼs interbank forex market, up from 310.02 late on Friday. The forint slipped to 277.56 from 275.93 against the dollar. Apart from brief intervals, the forint weakened steadily against the dollar on Monday. The forint strengthened to 280.81 from 282.46 against the Swiss franc. As opposed to its rate against the dollar, the forint firmed to the franc from early in the session.
