Business confidence stable in February, MNB index shows

A monthly gauge of confidence in the business sector compiled by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) showed sentiment was stable in February, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The index stood at +15 points in February, unchanged from the previous month and still at the highest level since its launch one year earlier.
The measure of businesses' assessment of their current situation stood at +2 points February, edging up from +1 point in January.
The gauge of their expectations edged down to +29 points from +30 in the previous month.
An index value above zero signals an improvement in economic activity.
MNB noted that the February data was gathered before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.
