Average interbank O/N rates increase 25bp in April

The average turnover-weighted overnight lending rate rose 25bp to 5.66% in April, the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) said on Wednesday.

Turnover on the forint interbank market amounted to Ft 2,424.2 billion in April, Ft 437.3 billion more than in March. The average three-month interest rate was 6.26% in April, but the rate is not comparable as no deals for three-month money were made in March. In April, no deals were made for one-month money.
