Report: Hungarian-Croatian business chamber could go bankrupt

The Hungarian-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce is in the process of going bankrupt, according to a notice published by the Zagreb Commercial Court yesterday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported this morning citing a report by Croatian news agency HINA.

HINA reportedly noted that the office of the Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH) opened in Osijek in November replicated the objectives of the chamber. At the time of the opening, István Joó, ministerial commissioner for the implementation of the Danube Region Strategy, told MTI that Hungarian exports to Croatia saw a growth of 32% in 2015, and there is still potential for further growth, particularly in the area of cooperation with SMEs.

Offices of MNKH are being set up by the Hungarian state to find new opportunities for Hungarian companies on foreign markets.
