Record number of aircraft fly through Hungary in July

Aircraft numbers handled by HungaroControl air traffic controllers reached a record 100,856 in July, the company announced today.

According to the announcement, new traffic records emerged in transit traffic, while the number of flights arriving and departing from Budapest also reached the highest figures since November 2011. On 26 July 2015 the air traffic controllers at the Hungarian control tower handled a record number of 3,644 flights in one day, the announcement added.

July saw a total 74,558 aircraft flying across Hungarian airspace, rising by a year-on-year of approximately 11%.
